Got Chum?

If you're traveling to Denver as a delegate, you'd better be prepared to bring an extra suitcase. This picture shows just about all the stuff that they give you when you check-in, including an emergency radio that provides disaster preparedness tips, a Union clapper, a pedometer, one of those Fortune balls, and Macaroni & Cheese that reads "Democrats in 2008". Normally I'd ditch all this stuff but a friend asked me to bring back all the free junk. I just checked Southwest Airlines, and you're allotted 2 suitcases not exceeding 50 pounds.

There's DNC 2008 T-shirts being sold too at our hotel. I'm not sure why they chose to sell them at $22 instead of keeping the change simple at plain $20. But then again, if we had a Democratic Party that actually kept things simple, we wouldn't have more delegates from California than there are electoral votes (441 to 70), and I probably wouldn't be here.

Also, the taxi drivers don't really know how to drive around here, and they don't carry GPS units.
